Gauge
Pressure Sensor
This section illustrates our range of gauge pressure sensors that can
be used to measure pressure referenced to ambient atmospheric pressure.
Gauge pressure sensor ranges covered are 0-25mbar up to 0-2500bar, as well
as negative pressures below atmospheric pressure down to -1bar gauge (full vacuum).
Gauge pressure sensor output signal available include mV/V, 0.5-4.5Vdc, 0-5Vdc, 0-10Vdc
and 4-20mA, with customised outputs available on request.
All gauge pressure sensor models can be supplied with digital displays and indicators, signal digitisers, telemetry systems, data loggers and acquisition equipment from our range of transducer instrumentation. Calibration traceable to UKAS standards is available on all gauge pressure sensors and systems.
What is Gauge Pressure?
Gauge pressure, also known as 'relative pressure' or 'vented
gauge pressure', is the measurement of pressure relative to the
current atmospheric or barometric pressure.
A gauge pressure sensor has the back of the sensing element open (or 'vented') to provide a reference to atmospheric pressure. |
