Displacement Transducers
Our range of LVDT displacement transducers, manufactured in the UK by Monitran Ltd, are available in industrial, standard and
miniature versions to meet the demands of a wide variety of applications, from civil engineering to laboratory testing.  Due to
their use of inductive technology, there are no contacting parts, making for a extremely long and trouble-free service life.  We
also offer a strain gauge-based displacement sensor with 10mm and 25mm ranges as an alternative to the inductive types.
  • Ranges ±0.25mm to ±600mm
  • Miniature, standard and industrial types
  • Non-contacting displacement systems
  • Accuracy to <0.5% (<0.1% on strain gauge models)
  • Environmental protection to from IP40 to IP68
  • Output signal options: ac, conditioned dc and strain gauge
  • Installation fittings available for all models
  • Strain-gauge based versions with 10mm and 25mm stroke ranges

  • Applications:
Materials testing machines - Automotive / aerospace test rigs - Paper processing machinery
Actuators - Laboratory research - Civil engineering

Digiforce
The Digiforce is a portable, battery-operated instrument which utilises a non-contact technique to measure tension in wire,
strand, cable and rod without intrusion.  It operates on the principle that when a tensioned component anchored between
two points is struck, it vibrates at a frequency which is related to its tensile stress.  When held in close proximity to the
vibrating member, the Digiforce detects the frequency of vibration and computes it to a force value on the digital display.
It is quick and easy to use, needing only two pieces of information to be entered on the keypad; the length of the
component between its fixed points and the component weight in grams/metre.

  • Accurate to 1%
  • Non-contact measurement
  • Portable and battery powered
  • CE marked and EMC approved
  • Internal data-logging with RS232 serial output

  • Applications:
Pre-stressed concrete fabrication - Elevators - Mast support stays
Yachting - Power lines - Winching - Mooring - Aerial ropeways
Mining - Crane construction - Drilling

  Accelerometers
All of our accelerometers are manufactures from the highest quality materials, with stainless steel being used throughout to provide exceptional levels of mechanical performance and stability. We can also supply sensors manufactured in aluminium or specialised materials to meet the needs of particluar applications.

Every sensor is protected by a fully welded capsule and sealed to IP65 as standard: IP66, IP67 and IP68 capsules are also available across the product range. Output signals can be AC, proptional to acceleration, velocity or displacement, or DC and 4-20mA output.

We offer a wide choice of electrical connections, with standard, coiled and armoured cables; top, side and unique rotating cable entry mechanisms; plus BNC, commercial and military connectors. Each unit can be mounted using standard male, female, magnetic, spiked or adhesive mounts.

All sensors are fully calibrated and are supplied with detailed calibration certificates.
